About FUEL

What is FUEL ?

•It is a group of Students who have decided to dedicate their effort to VISION 2020 and help India represent the world in technological, social, and human growth development.
•FUEI is a Charitable Trust formed by students for empowering students .
•It is fully managed by student volunteers ,this means 100% of funds raised from donors is spent only for education awareness of students .


Why FUEL?

•The opportunities in higher education are innumerable after 10+2 and various competitive exams are the gateways to higher education. Only 7 out of 100 at this level are able to continue their education beyond class 10 .

•This is mainly due to
Lack of awareness
Frustration due to the complex system formalities
Financial constraints

•When we realized that many students from remotely rural areas were missing the opportunity to enter a course of study because they were not aware of details concerning the entrance exams to Institutes which they have to appear we decided to ACT and DO something to minimize this handicap.

•Not being able to be competitive because of foggy or complicated information can be quite harmful for anyone’s future and for his/her career potential.

•For this reason we started compiling all the information we had and gathered it in a clear fashion in book form so that everyone could find the information easily and fast and never miss out any opportunity again.

Organization:
•FUEL an acronym for Friends’ Union for Energizing Lives.

•Mission Statement :
“As the new world beckons, our commitment and energy fly and then soar since we know that, as far as opportunities go, they have only just begun”



Objectives:

*To increase the flow of educational information to remote corners by providing books and conducting career guidance presentations.
.
*To encourage Students activities and extend maximum support to all organizations working for welfare of students and society & to work as a 24 *7 helpline source to all Students

*To Provide financial assistance to meritorious students to continue their higher
studies with the guidance and support of non-profit organizations.

Coverage:

•So far 65 Activities have been carried out all over Maharashtra in one year with a reach of 19,000 students .

Mrs.Sudha Murthy (Chairperson Infosys Foundation),
Mr.Suresh Elangaovan (CEO &MD Mindlogicx)

* Appreciation from NGO, Media, Professors, Principal ,Parents and Students

Future Plans:
*To prepare career guidance book on professional and non professional careers
and todistribute to each school and college libraries free of cost .
